systemd is monolithic

69 individual binaries just in a single tarball

systemd is incompatible with shell scripts

We just don't use them for the boot process, because we believe they aren't the best tool for that specific purpose, but that doesn't mean systemd was incompatible with them.

systemd is not modular

Only udevd and journald are absolutly needed

systemd is not UNIX

What is meant by UNIX?

Sometimes it is more unix, especially if you think everything should be a file. cgroups are exposed in the file hierarchy.

Why should you care?
